Some experimentation with the legacy GIMP Kaleidoscope. I call them "totems" because of their aspect ratio.

I love actual totem poles, and now you got me thinking of using that on an actual totem image. Just for kicks.

Give it a try. I think the old kaleidoscope filter was under-appreciated. I don't think the G'MIC Kaleidoscopes permit this kind of manipulation. I'll post some really totem-like (i.e., thinner and tall) compositions I have.

Those are great and I agree that Kaleidoscope is under rated. You certainly make some interesting textures with it.

Congrats RonQ, for your beautiful textures, They are really beautiful.
