Thank you OMG. Your shiny glass creations are so superior! Please don't stop doing them even if you do something else. The ones you did with the gems or glass set in wood, it looks like spaces were carved out for them. How did you get that?

EDIT - Pat, you also asked me not to stop uploading glass images ... well this morning I took a photo of my Xmas Bells, now in full bloom, and just loved the image so much when I uploaded it to my main PC (now on Windows 10!!). So I used it to make a brush and a gradient then went all 'soppy' over my new toys ...

Issabella - thank you for your comments; I am still learning a great deal about how to use BRLand blend layers in order to achieve these 'glassy' outcomes.

Hopefully people are not yet tired of glass, it provides many different options to play with, like some jewelry, where I also used Graechan's 'antique metal script' ...

They are beautiful. I don't think anyone could keep up with you as to the quantity of creations if they wanted to!!

Do you start with a sketch, or just start and figure it out as you go? They are so complex, I would have to figure it all out ahead of time!

Pat625 - I just enjoy playing with GIMP so much; I tend to go where my mind or often 'accidents' take me although sometimes I start with an idea and see it through but not often.

I am still exploring 'glass' so here are a couple from that latter category ...

'Peace in our time' - a phrase used by two leaders, Prime Minister Lloyd George before WW2 and President Obama more recently. I would like to think it could still happen ...

Both of those are beautiful and show your expertise and creativity.

I had hoped that more GIMP learner members would sustain this topic, but like most other 'Gimp Art' threads at present things seem to be a bit slow. So I will make this my final post in this thread and thank all those who have contributed/responded and managed to have some fun on the way through.
