oldmangrumpy: I think it's at times like these that we really need our painting and reading and writing and all those other things. That wildlife painting says more than a thousand words! Great job on the portrait, I don't pay any attention to football but Ronaldo is kind of hard to escape, so I recognised him at once :).

Oldmangrumpy: I love those stylized faces you make, especially when they have swirly hair :)! It's the kind of thing I always want to do but never succeed with, so I'm a bit jealous. But that's my peace sign - can't you see it's pink?!

Your portrait sketch is quite striking OMG, IMHO you have found a niche style with this method of creation, I really like it a lot.

Anmal, level_0, Diego, Issabella and Richard - thank you all for your kind comments. Said it before and I'll say it again - isn't GIMP great, still so much more to explore and lean.

Another in similar style with a twist!

Oldmangrumpy: That hair!!! :wow Everything about it is lovely. The composition is good too, like an art nouveau piece.

OMG, What spectacular designs for hair. You have many talents to design and realize them neatly, too. :paint :coolthup
