Cross your eyes to merge the two red lines into one and you shall see Wilber's heads floating at different depths.

Hehe, yes. Love cross-eyed 3D. You can do it without the red lines, looks even better.

I've never been able to view any "cross eye" images.
Every time I cross my eye,
I get nothing.

:(

I don't actually cross my eyes, I just switch to Thousand-yard stare.
It happens as fast as normal eye adaptation from any close-distance target to far-distance target.
One common error is to watch them too close.
The star field animation above for example is best to view from about meter distance. (24" 1920x1200 display)
After you see it you can move your head, but if you get real close to the display then you need to force your eyes.

When I watch it from +1.5 meters it seems faster because the smallest particles in middle don't show up. Funny.

It's hard to find someone else,
who can't see what others seem to see in these images.
I understand what it is I'm suppose to be seeing,
but I just don't see it.

The cross-eyed thing doesn't work for me either.
I've had cataract surgery and have plastic lenses in my eyes. I think graphic designers should not encourage people to cross their eyes.

In the not so distant past eyesight determined if a hunter could survive or not. One option for cataract surgery is to have long distance vision in one eye and close range in the other. This maybe good in the supermarket looking at labels but it messes with the brains trigonometry that estimates distance. You need 2 eyes and a 'target' to estimate distance accurately. If you couldn't hit the target you were either supported by others or died. Not a good place to be.

I am not a graphic designer, so can i encourage people to cross their eyes? hehehe jk.

Yeah I don't even do it for long just to see the effect then I am done with it...if you do it for long it might cause headaches or not really headaches but you know how you do something that's not good for you for a long time it feels weird.

I feel sorry for those who can't see them, but don't fall in despair!
You can always found a global association for people who can't see cross-eyed 3D images :hehe

On a serious note, I doubt watching them has any effect on your vision.
If it was harmful, wouldn't staring phone screens and your display for long periods on a daily basis be extremely bad for eyes?
Can still remember how some teachers tried to scare that your eyes may get stuck if you do the cockeyed funny expression.
