That turned out nice, OMG. The pattern goes well with the gold glitter.

Here are some more coloured 'textured glass' patterns/backgrounds that I made from Pat's original speckled gold pattern. In each case I chose to flip a copy of the original and blend the two as a type of 'tartan' pattern.







.. it is easy to adjust these colours by duplicating the image, flipping it and using your preferred blend mode to achieve a new result. I will post a couple of brighter colours tomorrow.

Those are all beautiful patterns. Its hard to believe that you did all those from one. You really are an artist!

What you may find intriguing is that all of those tartan style glass patterns and that gold pattern ALL COME FROM THE SPECKLED GOLD pattern that you posted. Here are some more, again all derived from your posted pattern, and then I willl try to explain ...









Firstly, I played with your pattern to make it larger and (close to) seamless. Then I used GMIC (Samj couleurs mettaillique) to tart it up and then created a gradient from that pattern

The frosted glass patterns are just normal GIMP blended combinations of your pattern, my plain frosted glass tile and different shapes of the gradient.

That metallic gold pattern comes from the gradient created from your pattern, using 'spiral' mode with just a tiny jerk of the mouse in the centre of the canvas, then I again applied either the Samj filter or one from GMIC>local orientaion. I have several different colour versions of that one.

Also for some of my patterns I also use the GMIC>Arrays and tiles filter (referred to also by Norseman143) to make some tiles into multi tile patterns.

BTW!! While looking through old posts and gimp resources, I found that the gold glitter pattern was from Molly. I don't know if she made it or found it somewhere.
