Custom Font Character Paths

How do you do these paths from existing fonts?

I have been waiting for you to come up with a plug-in to automate the process to create correctly centred skeleton paths.
I have tried using Trace but the results always require such a lot of editing that I have just stuck to doing it all by hand using the path tool. :bawl

Probably meant using Chatgpt to research script writing.

Ottia Tuota writing on GimpForum had some amazing path scripts but sadly none that would help me with character paths.
I was hoping that he would develop something but e seems to have moved on to other things.

This set of skeleton character paths is intended for use with the corresponding whitebase file.
You can stroke the characters with a brush and then overlay the results onto another set of characters.

A set of character paths for joining characters using alternative lower-case characters. These were intended for use with thinner characters - stroke widths/brush sizes of 8 to 24 - but plenty of scope for experimenting.
If you want to use the existing kerning paths bear in mind the stroke width/layer margins relationship:

Stroke Width Left Margin Right Margin
8 40 40
16 36 36
20 34 34
30 29 29
40 24 24

etc etc
