This morning I was reading Grokking the Gimp, Baltar Font was mentioned as a good choice for manipulation.
Grokking the Gimp wrote:

While at dafont.com I also noticed a couple of recently added script fonts that might be useful for special occasions.
I especially liked Angelique ma douce Colombe, I could see it used in a background.
