I took a bit of time to find the sizes of cover pictures for various social media sites and create .xcf files to help people create works for those sites. The collection is by no means complete. And I fear some of the information used to create these templates may already be out of date. So I'm hoping others can pitch in to improve what I've started and add more templates.

Some of these templates are nothing more than canvases set to the correct size. The Facebook one has a few channels to use to get everything lined up the way you want. The YouTube template also has a few channels so you can work in the areas most important to you. On both of those I also created paths that can be used to redo the channels if they accidentally get messed up. Again, if anybody finds any errors in the templates, please feel free to either bring it to my attention or correct it and replace the "broken" version. Also feel free to add any other templates I have overlooked.

wtg. I have a template for facebook and 1 for here. Never thought of doing them for other places.

I would also like to add that if you are adding text on your facebook cover you need to leave the bottom 3/4 inch blank as it will be covered by text from facebook. (Like tabs, name, etc)

I think that's accounted for in the template I included. There's a blank space at the bottom.

I have learnt from experience that you don't want to put your text further down after half way past the profile pic. Yes you have accounted for the tabs under the cover pic but not in it or the name of the page. Picture can go all over the grey part but not text if you want it to show.

If you have an idea of where that cutoff point is I can tweak the template to show the "text safe" area. Or if your template already has that marked we could swap it into the zip file. I'd like to make everything as accurate and complete as possible.

It seems the LinkedIn template is pretty much useless. The one in the zip is the wrong resolution based on their current 1400 x 425 recommendation. So I uploaded a 1400 x 425 picture and almost none of it is actually visible. Even worse, the picture seems to only be visible to you and your contacts, not the general public. What's the point of adding a nice picture to your page if it can't draw in people?

I would put another guide at 250px on your template or between the 1 & 2.
