When you download these just delete the pattern file and keep the PNG file included. :)
Then open the PNG in Gimp and save as pattern, or just throw the PNG in your patterns folder and Gimp will use it as a pattern.

Lots of good stuff on that site. :bigthup

His abrMate program is great for extracting images from Photoshop brush packs. Unfortunately, it is a Windows only program - it uses the Microsoft .NET Framework.
