during the last 3-4 days Gimp-chat is often unreachable, or not responding, or very slow.
Does it happen only to me?

I haven't notice any issues and no one else has asked about this lately.

Have you tried clearing your DNS cache?

If you're not familiar with this.
The DNS cache (Domain Name System) stores the locations (IP addresses) of web servers,
which contain web pages that you've recently viewed.
If the location of the web server changes before the entry in your DNS cache updates,
you may be no longer able to access the site.

After you clear your DNS cache,
your computer will query name-servers for the new DNS information.

Doing this often solves most connection issues that I've experience.
Try it next time you're having these issues,
to see if it works for you.

You can do this by opening command prompt (as admin) and typing,
ipconfig /flushdns.

In a few day you'll know better if it worked or not.

Another very simple fix,
which you may be aware of.
Is to reset your modem/router,
or whatever device you use to facilitate your internet connection.

I unplug my router form it's power source for about a minute and a half or so,
then plug it back in.
This resets my router, in effect refreshing it.

This happened to me around a week and a half ago, Diego. I cleared my DNS and all appeared well, but a few hours later, it happened again. A day or two later, though, and the problem went away. :)
