Gnutux , thank you for clearing that up. I have no problems with your point of view.

I am a moderator on another site (Australian) and on that site attachments are allowed in private messages.
We get the occasional "take down" notice when someone infringes a copyright situation. I have not come across any "offensive" material.

In Australia we are getting more and more litigation happy and I guess that it wont be all that long before sites in Australia will adopt your stance.
I hope it is some time away. Not just because of the slight inconvenience of attaching files in private messages but because the fear of litigation, political correctness and equal opportunity practices ares slowly encroaching on every facet of our lives and destroying the freedoms we have traditionally enjoyed.

I just wish it was not necessary.

Cheers wbool63

Tar and feather just like the tax collectors and pan handlers.

It seems like everyone is trying to sue everyone, these days. Better to err on the side of caution. I've seen people get sued for some seriously wrong reasons! Like McDonalds getting sued for selling "hot" hot coffee!

Well she got 30k after taxes and her lawyers got about 1mil :lol

I wonder if she will ever have a Big Mac attack and fail because she is banned from all McDonalds restaurants?
