Yes, so far so good with fix from the old host. I must say that after the last two weeks, and seeing all the trouble others are having there, I've lost confidence in them. I think they might be on their way out. It would surprise me if they were able to turn things around.
I've migrated Gimp Scripts over to the new VPS and I must say that so far, I'm impressed with the speed and flexibility of the VPS.
One nice thing about the VPS is that I have full root access and control over the server, with the ability to reboot it remotely, if need be. Even though I have to secure, maintain and update the software, I like having total control and not having to wait for someone else to fix any issues that might arise. It's running CentOS, which is Fedora's cousin, so feel right at home.

I submitted two support tickets during the migration and my questions were responded to within 5 minutes, by excellent and knowledgeable staff members. It might just be the best support I've ever received from a webhost.
