I loved Dune, thanks for the link!
The book was good, unfortunately the David Lynch Dune movie wasn't so great. If Jodorowsky's version had been made it would have been amazing. The studios at the time didn't get Jodorowsky's vision so wouldn't continue financing the production. The documentary 'Jodorowsky's Dune' shows how far ahead of his time he was.

He's made some really avant-garde movies in the past. It's too bad his version of Dune never came to fruition.
I agree, Jodorowsky had a wildly creative thought process. He even had Pink Floyd lined up for the soundtrack.
The Children of Dune 2003 TV Mini-Series, (if you can find it) was pretty good, but all the other movies were a joke.
The Frank Herbert Dune books are fantastic, I read them all.
The 2003 TV Mini-Series, was IMO the most accurate, definitely worth watching and very entertaining too. It has more of the actual pages of Dune translated to the screen and combines both the Dune Messiah and Children of Dune novels, with strong performances all around. If you've read the books like I have, I highly recommend watching Children of Dune.
