I'd try to center the banner on top or change it to be as wide as the layout of the forum.

Don't think so, you're image isn't in that code. I don't know much about it though. I did some very minor stuff with HTML years ago.

I found your banner in index.php maybe you can try align center there?

It won't show in a php file or html file, it will be in a css file. Try checking your theme edit list, or any other edit lists for a .css file, should be like main.css, index.css

There are several instances where Apophysis is spelled incorrectly (e.g., "Apohysis").

I was just watching a documentary last night on how nature itself and humans are made up of fractals.In fact all things can be measured in the fractal numbers - 1 (upper arm) - 2 (forearm)- 5 (hand bones before fingers)14 (finger bones including two thumb bones)
Scientists have a name for this fractal i can't remember it though.
