I've often found myself using my, 'Gimp-Know-How' (I'm always learning) to effect real life objects.

For example... I build bicycles... and sometimes I use my 'Gimp-Know-How' to help me (so I think).
Only afterwards do I realizing that what I've thought of as a nice fix, can't be done in the real world.

Have you ever found yourself in this situation ?... If so let us know.

PS... No Judging...
Also don't all reply at once.:hehe

Wallace: I've heard that they used to have new engineers, just out of school spend time in the machine shop for just that reason. It was easy for them to design things that were difficult and expensive to actually make in the real world.

wallace: this is such a fun question, really hope there will be more answers for it!
so far, i've mostly had the opposite experience - trying to fix things in gimp the same way i would in reality and that doesn't really work... i've often wished i had a garden hose that i could use to wash out colours on a white background, because i really like the stains of colour that's left when you do that in reality. and sometimes i still catch myself thinking when i make a 3d object that "i'll just turn it a bit and see what it looks like from that angle"...
but occasionally i've looked at ugly business signs downtown and thought stuff like: "why don't they blur that one and then use unsharp mask?"

What Is Addiction? As defined by Psychology Today.com

Addiction is a condition that results when a person ingests a substance (alcohol, cocaine, nicotine) or engages in an activity (gambling in our case Gimping) that can be pleasurable but the continued use of which becomes compulsive and interferes with ordinary life responsibilities, such as work or relationships, or health. Users may not be aware that their behavior is out of control and causing problems for themselves and others.
