I had a set of soluble pencils when I was young. I remember using a water brush on them, but the pencil lines remained, although not as strong. So I just used them as colored pencils and used regular watercolors when I wanted to use a brush.

Decades later, I still have that set and occasionally use them... as colored pencils.

I had used them with water at the tip of the pencil with the brush but not impress with it.

I think I'll be better off using them as colouring pencils. If I want to do watercolour I'll be better off in using watercolour paints.

Thanks for the tip bkh1914
