So sorry to read this sad news. At least now the suffering is ended and she will be a t peace...RIP Molly, a much loved member of Gimp Chat and valued team member as well. We will miss you greatly.

My condolences to Molly's friends and family. I remember when Molly first showed up here at Gimpchat. She always was open to learning new things and always took the path of politeness in her comments. Although I haven't been a regular in quite some time, I would check in on the site from time to time and always see her helpful contributions. She definitely had a big impact on this site as moderator and as a contributor with her own creations. She left behind a tapestry of kindness and helpfulness that thanks to the nature of the internet can live on and on to perhaps inspire and help others who might come across her posts.

This what I get for not visiting GimpChat in months. The last time I was here GnuTux had a serious health issue. The time before that Oregonian left us. And now I come back to this. Molly was the sweetest and most helpful lady in the world. She's the reason we were able to locate GnuTux just over a year ago. The losses to the GimpChat family over the last year or so have just been unspeakably horrible. I'd also like to thank Wallace for keeping the site going. I know another GIMP site was opened and that a good number of the members of this site have migrated to that one but this site taught that one everything it knows and much of that came from Molly. I owe it to her to check in more than every few months.

It's very sad,
but that's how live can be.
We've taken a big hit to the GC Admin.
Gimp Chat is holding on by a thread.
I'm doing all that I can everyday,
to keep the spammers at bay.
If I go,
and I hate to think of this,
but that will be it for GC.

From the admin side it's all global, although I admit language is an issue. So where are the young Americans ready to take responsibility for managing GC into the future? Do they exist?

Believe me,
I've tried communicating this to Omega,
but he ignores me.
At this point there's no one ready,
or even slated to take over.

Gimp Chat needs new blood.
Omega isn't doing anything,
to facilitate any kind of transition for a new Admin.
As far as I can tell,
there isn't any plan for the future of Gimp Chat.

Hi Wallace,
I suggest to get the ball rolling by opening a new topic and ask for expressions of interest for a back-up admin.
You could then choose a reliable candidate and get them up to speed with spam busting etc.

It looks like Omega has the last word though, pity he is not communicating.
He did fix the image upload problem so maybe he thinks all is OK.
Keep up the good work.

I didn't even know Molly had passed. I guess i feel like Mike. I just don't get around here enough. Life can get busy though. We all have things going on. But just sometimes, sometimes you find that one really great , and loving community online. And you just feel at home there. I remember when i first joined the website and became a member in May 2010. O and Molly both made me feel very welcome here. Not long after O asked me to be a Global Moderator. I accepted and it felt so right. Then i just kinda fell off the planet when i lost some family members. It feels like i've lost another family member now.
You will be missed Molly.

Every time I see Molly's banner at the top of the screen I notice how different GC feels without her. I used to have a lot of fun with Mo and it's a real shame she's gone.

Although I never met her in person, I've chatted with her on the phone.

I haven't spoken to her on the phone but we used to chat and share jokes with each other on Pidgin. She used to give me a swift kick whenever I put myself down. She was a real inspiration here on GC with her contagious creativity and her sense of humour.
