I originally heard David this morning on the TV news but they soon changed it to Richard.

Sorry to hear this. I do remember him from Jurassic Park and I've seen several of the films he's directed. I've probably seen him in other roles but just didn't know it.

I'm more familiar with his brother, David. I've watched lots of his nature documentaries. He's a great narrator and has the unique ability to make almost any topic seem exciting and interesting.

Sorry for the loss; who doesn't remember him in Jurassic Park? He, of course, has been in many great films over the years and a great director too. He will be missed. Just completed this rendition thanks to your thread Sallyanne.

In 1967, he was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). He was made a Knight Bachelor in 1976 and in 1993 he was made a life peer as Baron Attenborough, of Richmond upon Thames in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. (Brrr, what a title...)

I like both of the Attenborough's work. Sad that he is gone.

Lovely rendition Lyle.

Sad thing 2-ton, is that after his passing everyone - even the media thought it was David. Well maybe not sad but he was being mourned for being dead and he is still alive.

I checked up a little before posting because media have got it wrong before.

Thank you for that extra info Arran.
