This quote comes from the home page of http://registry.gimp.org/ and is dated less than a month ago.
Wasn't sure if any of you here were aware they were essentially giving up the ghost, so I thought I would just throw this in here.

GIMP Plugin Registry in Lockdown mode

The Plugin Registry will remain in lockdown mode - without support from the site owner, we have no chance of fighting the spam attacks.

This means that no accounts can be created, and posting is limited to the people who are already registered. You do not need an account to download resources from this site.

The MK-2 has been built. Should this be the next question?

We just don't have the manpower to handle the spam flood with the tools available in Drupal.

Things are changing (www.gimp.org included) soon. So hopefully we might be able to find a better solution moving forward. I toyed with the idea of moving things over to pixls.us, but I'm not quite sure if that's a good path forward...

I really hope you can get it sorted. I've been trying for two years to get an account over there but because my email address has dots in it (I assume is the issue since they're on the left side) I have always been ... I can tsay ignored since I'm sure it was software, but I got nowhere. lol Good luck to you folks.
