Got two calls (actually 3; was gone when my Dad said they called the first time) to work at home processing credit cards. Told the gentleman last night and the lady just a few minutes ago I was not interested (calling me on Saturday to boot). I hate being solicited for these type of jobs. Just because my resume is spieled all over the net doesn't mean I am so desperate as to bite of one of these so called opportunities. Man, I'm P.O.ed. Anyway, just wanted to vent. lol

Hopefully you asked them to put you on their don't call list.

I get recorded messages I can't do that with. They are all telling me my credit card has problems and to call right away to the number they put on the message.

Isn't it a law that if you say do not call me and they call you they can get in trouble?

Maybe so Willy, but I remember the do not call list a few years back and what a joke that turned out to be. I get pissed, but I know the revenge comes from wasteing their time too. Sometimes I intentionally milk it and then hang up (not this time though). Devious I am. bru ha ha ha ha.

Maybe not a good idea O. Dad signed up for the list and, for a short time, it appeared to work, but something must have happened since now he gets several calls a day. To me, the list is just verification that you exist and is akin to signing for an email list.

It worked for me for a long time, but I wonder if they delete old numbers from their database. I just signed up again. I had tried to re-register 2 or 3 years ago and it said I was already registered there. Today it didn't say that.

lol; funny stuff offnuts. Yeah; got over it quick enough. Still a pet peeve though. As a side note, whenever I get a junk email and it says click here to be removed from the list, I don't click; it just confirms to the mailer that you exist. lol

Yes even spammers will tell you the best thing to do is just delete the email.
