I know that many of you live in warmer countries, but for us Finns this is unusual...

Temperature is over 30 degrees Celsius (over 86 degrees Fahrenheit).

I'm used to much lower temperatures, my brain is melting... :pengy

As long as the Gimp part of your brain stays intact, you should be fine...lol It is hot here in Ontario Canada too and very humid. I just turn on the air and pull the blinds.

Throw that weather over here. Could do with it right now. Our days are fine but cold once they warm up a little from falling down to 5 - 6 degrees celsius overnight. Not used to it being so cold.

I would personally love 86°F Kimppi. We had 106°F (41.11°C) 2 days ago (cut grass that day and even then it was in the low 90°s F) a little cooler yesterday as far as the outdoor thermostat read anyway) so trust me, your temperature would be a welcome relief here. Cloudy today so it won't be so hot; might even get a shower which would be a good thing right now. lol

:)

Arizona? or Nevada? or one of those other sandy places lol

And here in Michigan it's still warm 83F high but last week we were in the 90s

speaking of that I think the pool is warmer than 83 from all the heat last week :lol

Yes; it's a piece of cake here compared to the desert states, but if you add humidity to the equation, then I still believe we have it worse (dry heat isn't as bad and evaporative cooling actually works there). Just saying. lol

It's only 77° right now, with a high of 91° expected, and isolated thunderstorms. The humidity is 85% however. It was 95% yesterday. Strange weather. This year we've had more than our share of rain. Last year I mowed twice. We hardly got any rain, and the grass was brown all summer.

22 000 thunder bolts counted today in southern Finland. Small tornado (called "trombi" here) destroyed helicopter hangar. Some storm damages quite near my current location, wife's relatives can't get to their summer cottage... And STILL it's way too warm. What's going on? This is madhouse as a country, temperatures change from minus 30 (winter) to plus 30 degrees (summer) Celsius, and now in addition to that we have tropical weather? Madness.

This time of year, the heat index gets to the 120's F (50 C), although the actual temperature is only in the low 90's. So far it's been cooler this year.

LOL at the notion of tropical weather in Finland!

:ditto for South Carolina, as well. So far this year, we have only had a few days of temps over 90, which is cooler than last year. Last summer, we had a couple of weeks of scorching heat early on, then it cooled off and ended up being a relatively mild summer.

We've been getting what my dad calls "heat lightning" here a lot...I know there was one night I couldn't sleep because of the flashes lighting up my room, and a very distinct lack of sound for how bright the flashes were

OK, so you all seem to live in states between Hell and Inferno. :D Here, comes Winter, all is well (i.e. cold, quiet and clear). Unless we get some ice storm madness from some other countries too, THAT would be logical continuation to current madness. I do not believe Global Warming anymore, now I'm firm believer of Nasty Weather Fairy!

Atleast in the thought I hold, global warming can contribute to the nasty weather.
