Won't say I have a tear in my eye; was at the rallying point when I got the news. Had to do a few check-off list stuff anyway, and, when I got home, I got the email which was timestamped at 7:15am (though it wasn't in my inbox and I left the house at 8:15am; lol). Only sprinkling and surprised they canned the band. Oh well. Good chance the fireworks show will be canned too. Just delayed a day, but, I have to work tomorrow evening if it does get canned so won't even be playing in that either. Will miss the fireworks show, but, other then that, again, no tear in my eye. lolol

Also sorry to hear you and Tux are getting all that moisture. Here in Michigan the show goes on tonight.
Unless my daughter has her baby (she is dilated to 4 by now i am guessing).
So we may get cancelled because of moisture also but in the form of water breaking.

Well, we had the fireworks show afterall. I did my part but skipped the actual fireworks (tired; seen enough of them over the years, and also, we had no chairs since they provided us a covered podium (first time ever) due to the possibility of rain which would have blocked the fireworks show anyway, and, I didn't not want to sit on wet astro-turf. lol

We actually played our full concert since the other entertainment were no shows; good for the band so I know our funding from city council is guaranteed for at least another year. lol

I did have fun playing; glad that we had another show without a hitch (and it didn't even rain. Rain 10 minute prior to me leaving home, but once I got to the stadium, there was no rain and indeed the clouds even seemed to clear as we played). Just wanted to complete the input to my spiel thread so not all was a wash. lol

No rain in Northwest Ohio, but the local fireworks were yesterday. We are also on baby watch. My neice's daughter was due yesterday. So far no action in that department, lol
