Jolie.. I just tried photoshop and jesus christ I can't work with it for sh**.. But then again I like photoshop because you can bent your text there..

Like putting the text in a bow around something and so on.. Is there any way on how to do that in gimp?

It would be lovely if I could..

You learned some new things though, right?

I think you did an excellent job, considering you are new to GIMP. You might want to try a holiday or seasonal themed banner next time.
