I took my original photo and tried to make it look better.
I did curves, some sharpening, cropped, and used G'MIC filter photo illustration.

Everything could use some cleaning up, and I am sure I will do that later, if you like it

I had a go, too.

-wavlet despeckle
-cleanup with the clone tool
-separate to ycb to clean up jpeg artifacting in c and b (convolve/blur tool) then recombine
-duplicate and multiply with a layer mask to prevent the lower part from darkening too much
- s-curve tweak on the r and g channels
- blurred copy in lighten mode to give a bit of glow to the evergreen needles.
