I'm an artist and typically sell my paintings framed. When I do a commissioned painting, the clients appreciate being able to select their own frames. I want to be able to visualize different frame moulding around photos of my paintings.

I've seen plugins that come close to what I want. Can anyone direct me to something that will help do the following?

I know how to scale my photo to a specific size (eg 20 x 24 inches) and I can get photos of different moulding styles. What I want to do is to define the width of the moulding (eg 3 inches) and extend it around the painting scaled to the proper size for the painting.

I found a software package for $129 that does exactly what I want, but in addition to the cost, the developer has retired and is no longer supporting it. A photo of the moulding can be uploaded to the library, the width defined, and then simply selected to add to the painting photo all mitered and properly sized.

Is this clear enough? Can anyone give me ideas on how to do this? Is there a plugin or script that does this?
