hello lylejk. if you could help me again. the first link: amazing circle preset, I just put the .scm file in script folder right? but I don't know what to do with the second link. there are two files: tar.gz and zip. what should I do with those? is the tar.gz for ubuntu, and zip for windows? but how to install them? I see there is a makefile in tar.gz, so it seems I have to install it through command line. but how to do it? thanx a lot.

I think for the tar.gz one, I already understand how to do it. I will read the twist_doc.html. but could you help me with the zip one? thanx

The zip file is a Script-fu so all you have to do is place this file in the Script director for GIMP. I don't use Ubuntu (use Win7), so you will either have to find a compile for Ubuntu GIMP or do it yourself for the Twist plugin since it is a plugin.

I never even realized there was a script for AC's...I always made them from scratch...only takes a few steps, but the lazy in me kinda likes the script idea.

I'm all about lazy 2-ton. lol

Bonjour,

Anew script-fu : Butterfly_Wings_by_Lylejk.scm (with "Twist" plug-in version 2.1)

Filters > Distorts > Butterfly Wings by Lylejk....

Download plug-in Twist Version 2.1 : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6732

Thanks a heap once again samj. Can't have too many ways to create butterfly/butterly wings I say.

Bonjour,

@lylejk
I'll post an another script-fu tomorrow to create symmetrical effects.
test 1 (gradient) + test 2 (image...) :

lylejk · **Joined:** Sep 24, 2010 **Posts:** 12850

That's cool samj but I sort of like the assymetrical look as well. I guess I'm more Venetian as opposed to Florentine as far as art is concerned.

Bonjour,
@Lylejk
The script is not finished yet. Options for the asymmetry will be present.
The symmetry will be maintained with the vertical axis.
There may be variations in shade ...
I may add a random function.

Definitely looking forward to the Script-fu samj.

Bonjour,

I'm sorry but I have not been able to finish the script

I will continue tomorrow.
Here are the changes of the day:
Test 3 = mosaic
