Hi all,
I'm Jehan, a GIMP developer, working on a project with Aryeom. You may have seen some of our work, like "Wilber & Co.", the comic strip that you could see in the last 2 GIMP Magazines (and will be a regular from now on). I'm also responsible for some features to come, like symmetry painting, action search (well I'm not the original author, but the one who made the integration work), better compression of GIMP files (they can be nearly 2 times smaller in upcoming GIMP), I helped a little the MyPaint brush integration (though let's be honest, right now these brushes are slow as crazy, hence unusable as long as we don't work more on these), and so on.
Just for the little background check on myself!
Now for the project: a
2D animation film made with GIMP and Blender (this is *not* vectorial animation, but drawn one, frame by frame, like Ghibli):
ZeMarmot. It will be released as
Creative Commons BY-SA, and if we can get it funded (knock on wood), it means I will work on developing GIMP, fixing bugs, improving and adding features as much as possible, like crazy! Well it all depends on how much successful we are!
Enough for the talk, now the crowdfunding link:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/zema ... -software/There are French, Korean and Italian texts too for people who need these!
I hope you like this, will contribute to the funding and share on blogs and social networks. :-)
Thanks all!
