So I'm trying to make a silly walk entry for this contest...Pretty sure I'll never win it since I have no idea what I'm doing...And this is still the under animation. I know the entry has to be a video but right now I'm trying to get the animation down then I'll put the character on top and make a video of it.

I started with this but noticed it looked really wrong. LOL

So after looking up some walk cycles I started to try and add some weight to the character.
And to keep things from being confusing I color coded it.

Right now I'm trying to figure out arms...Yeah....

I'm not worried about proportions I just want to make something finished....eventually...maybe...

If anyone knows better than me feel free to let me know LOL

Arms should sway forward and backward a bit. Even if their not folded. When the right foot goes forward the right arm should sway back. Same with the left foot and arm.
And that walk in the animation looks like there is too much wiggling in the foot area (blue).

Ah ok i'll keep that mind in the arms. :tyspin
As I said it's supposed to not be a normal walk. it's for a contest that is for a silly walk. So I'm trying to put silly elements in to it like the foot.

I tried to make it so he hits his hand on the leg that's going up but it's not as good as I had hoped. I'm gonna go something else and do a more natural opposites with the arm to leg thing.

K I have like half done. Now I have to do the other half so it's a full animation...Then I'll line it. Dunno if I'll color it tho....I know this is still awful but I'm just aiming on finishing something. I think it's better if it's a finished product than a product that never gets entered at all....when I line it hopefully the lines won't be as jumpy.

_______________

Put other leg.
Just gotta line it. I think I won't color it, unless I just use a gradient or something simple.
