i have to use g'mic online when i'm on this old machine, but i've never had any problem with that before. yesterday when i downloaded the resulting images i suddenly got them all as .cgi-files. i don't even know what a cgi file is? i never came across this before and it seemed quite unpredictable why some files were downloaded with this extension and some with the usual .png and .jpg extensions. needless to say i couldn't do anything with the .cgi files, so a lot of what i worked on yesterday was lost :(. anyone else who uses the online version of g'mic and has run into the same problem?

I've never used G'Mic online, but that does seem odd. Sorry AnMal that I don't have anything to add that might help.

Usually you would open a .cgi files in a web browser, a .cgi file is like a script that runs on the web-server and displays the info to you on the web browser.
Maybe you can open it with you browser to see what it is.

I've heard that if you change the .cgi file extension to say .png or .jpg, that this has fixed the file. I haven't tried this myself, so I'm not sure if it works or not.
