I have downloaded gmic for gimp....problem...I have followed all instructions including videos that I have seen on here and am still having issues. I have downloaded the proper versions....with gimp 2.8 (64bit), everything is coppied into my plug-ins folder...when I go to open gimp I get an error: libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll not on computer, however, this file is in my gimpshop\bins....I tried to copy and paste it into the plug-ins folder hoping to fix the problem, but then I got the error 0xc000007b....so I deleted it from that folder, which solved that problem but now I am back to the .dll issue.....I have worked on this for hours, and it's probably something simple that I'm just overlooking...any outside perspectives?

thanks....I was actually able to solve the problem of getting it to download. I had two versions of gimp on my computer so I deleted everything and started from scratch....now gmic is loading and some of the features are working but now when I go to use "graphic boost 2", it stalls out and is giving me the same message about problem with gmic_gimp.exe....I tried to delete the paths and re-enter everything again but same message. Did a search on my computer and the file is located in gimp2\bin and gimp2\32\bin....don't know what to do...lol

Have you tried it the Gimp program folder for example,
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins
I see you have Gimpshop so yours will be slightly different.

One more thought.
On Windows

1. Open the Windows command prompt window:

Windows XP users: Click Start, click Run, enter cmd, press <Enter>

Windows Vista and Windows 7 users: Click start, enter cmd, press <Enter>

Windows 8 users: on the start screen with the tiles: enter cmd, press <Enter>

A black window will open - the Windows command prompt window.

2. Enter c:\program files\gimp 2\bin\gimp-2.8 --verbose.

After a moment a black command prompt window will open, having the title 'GIMP output. You can minimize this window, but don't close it'. Note that the start might take a bit longer because GIMP now writes output data.

3. When the GIMP application has started, execute the steps to reproduce the error.

4. Select the GIMP output and copy it the clipboard: click on the GIMP icon in the upper left window corner, then Edit/Select All, then Edit/Copy.

5. Create a new text file (for instance in Notepad) and paste the GIMP output there.

6. Save the text file as plain text, not in DOC, RTF, HTML or what else format.

7. Zip the file and attach it here.

Getting and posting the output of gimp --verbose

It's almost always the same problem. First of all:
Make sure, that there is only one (reachable) dll.
The 0xc0000..07b error is, that you try to use a 32bit dll from a 64bit program.
I put all dlls in the gimp\bin folder. That folder is added to my system path.
Others have some dlls in the windows\system32 path, other dlls in the gimp\bin folder and
some dlls in the \plugins folder. And if there are more than one dll present, it is
not easy to say, which one makes trouble.

One issue i ran into trying to install Gimp-2.6 and Gimp-2.8 was that Gimp-2.8 had a PATH value in env variables to the BABL libs and it needed to be removed.Once i did that Gimp-2.6 and Gimp-2.8 ran fine.

thanks for all of the suggestions.....I had 2 versions of gimp on my computer, and once I deleted everything and started from scratch I was able to get everything up and running!!! Love figuring out all of the tools!!
