Bonjour,

Here is another new small filter for G'MIC/Gimp.

To use this filter you must update the G'MIC filters :)

Filters > G'MIC > Testing > Samj > Couleurs Metalliques

( There may be another filter that does the same thing, I do not remember :( )

That's beautiful Samj. There is a filter called metallic look but it's completely different to yours.

There is another filter that SHOULD do something similar but honestly i don't like much that effect
Instead yours seems excellent and is exactly what i expect from metallic effect

I would like to buy a clue, please. Where does it show up in GMIC? Under Colors or Artistic perhaps?

samj does not stop creating excellent new filters! Thank you!
I'm a really bad drawer, but I think you get the idea of what I have done

In Spanish is called "Purpurina" or "Brillantina". "Glitter" in English I think.

Bonjour,

The filter has two new parameters for different rendering : "Rendu" & "Double effet".

(Do not forget to update the G'MIC filters)

@YAFU
The makeup is beautiful :paint

:yes As i was hoping it could be used also to add a sort of iridescent grain , a very nice texture

Image

ORIGINAL

Image

i run the filter (using type 2) with the output as new layer
then i set new layer opacity at about 50% in soft light mode

EDIT

I found something even more cool
:geek

1 Set Gmic "output" to "new layer(s)"
2 Run Samj filter don't click ok but "apply"
3 now still in gmic Artistic pencil, try to get a image with vclear outlines

4 just change top layer (it should be the "pencil" layer ) mode in "multiply" and lower its opacity to taste

Image

For a confront this would be the filter effect without the pencil layer

Image

the pencil layer add depth and made the image more easily readable, but still very graphic and metallic
the value i used -gimp_pencilbw 0.606061,3.0303,0,0,0

That worked nicely, PhotoComix. I like that small amount of graininess added to the image.

Did you saw also the last image ?

I just edited to add it, that may even become a added option if Samj like the idea
