Can we got an additonal Blendmode for the Layers -> Blend [standard] filter, please.
Im very interested to have the blendmode "Color Dodge" from Photoshop added.

Well, if you tell me the math formula used to blend with "Color dodge", yes, certainly!

Just checked the formula for color dodge, and it seems that is equivalent to the 'dodge' blending mode (at least the one implemented in G'MIC).

Thank you. I just tested it and you are correct.
Would it be a good idea to rename the " G'MIC - Dodge" mode into "Color Dodge" so the difference to the "Gimp Dodge" mode is clearer ?

Actually, the strange thing is that the GIMP "Dodge" mode should implement the same formula as "Color Dodge" as well, as described in this page :

https://docs.gimp.org/2.6/en/gimp-conce ... modes.html

It is the formula I've implemented in G'MIC too, and the formula described in other web page as "Color dodge" as well. I'm a bit surprised if this
doesn't give the same result as the "Color dodge" from Photoshop. Maybe this should be discussed with the GIMP developers ?

Gimp Dodge and G'MIC Dodge give same results, at least with the simple couple of layers I tried.
Probably the discussion -if result is different from PS- should be made with PS.

Just now I made another experiment with an image (background) and an upper layer filled with a full spectrum gradient (so to check with all colors); I confirm: GIMP and G'MIC give the same result in Dodge mode (which looks to be quite obvious, given the same mat formula used)
