I saw that Partha didn't correct yet and the zip on his side can't work
I corrected the zip now everything works including filter internet updates i post the zip here as attachment

Thanks for creating the zipfile. I really appreciate all your help! I have downloaded it but I am not sure of the instructions. Does the _gmic directory go in the plug-ins directory? Once I am sure then I can also create the installation that David was talking about and upload to my website.

well i prefer always install plugin as gmic , that don't include not only 1 exe but also several other files, in new dedicated folder , linked by gimp preferences.

Anyway to your question the content of the zip should all go,as it is, in a gimp plugin folder
...so basically the installer should point on a gimp plugin folder.

the scm file was a sample of scrpt fu to call gmic, it is not a working script and is even broken (broken =not yet adapted to gimp 2.7.x) ..may be useful as doc but is not part of the plugin

and gmic_bashcompletation.exe is for the command line but disturb if in the same directory of the plugin

Ok - Thanks! So, the _gmic directory containing curl should be located in the plug-ins directory. Will gmic work if curl is simply installed into gimp bin directory without needing an extra directory layer?

PS: PC also, if you look into the README file posted on the gmic website about installation, it does not mention curl at all. All I am saying is that I do not wish to provide something that I don't see even in the install instructions.

maybe David wrote the README with the mind to the command line more then the plugin.

But i may assure that is part of the plugin from long time and in all the OS, you may confront the structure with that of the official 32 bit version

And yes the _gmic folder has to be a subfolder in a gimp plugin, i don't think move somewhere else would be a good idea

You could probably re-direct the dll files to bin, instead of the plug-ins folder.
I think any ways. Gimp should still see them there.

Gmic is one of the best filters for GIMP.
Therefore, I believe that it should be installed automatically with the Gimp - is this possible?

It is of course possible.

However, I am trying to keep the Gimp 2.7.3 build as close to the official as possible and providing the more interesting plugins as a separate download. This has the advantage that when I rebuild Gimp, I don't have to rebuild the plugin and vice-versa.
