Installed it yesterday. Works fine for me so far. Maybe David can elaborate on any particular differences from 1.7.3.

Details at link below. :)

Using it in Fedora, Linux 64bit, GIMP v2.8.16.

Says preview not available for Colorize (Interactive). Yes, I updated it before trying it out - twice to make sure.

I noticed that with other interactive g'mic presets, you have to choice Apply (not OK) and doing so, it launches the interactive window. Then, pressing Enter completes the action. :)

Thanks Lyle. I tried it first on a 500x750 sized picture and decided it would take way too long. Scaled the image to 250x~150 and knew I'd have to go do something else while it did whatever it was supposed to do so just turned it off. I don't have anything I'm urgently needing to colorize.

Later note: I went off and left it doing its thing. I came back and it said it had been running 6196 seconds and was still running. I turned it off. That's way too long to wait for anything. That's close to 1.75 hours.

Just tried this preset and in launched instantaneously after I clicked apply. Not sure what's going of for Linux users. :)

Do you know if it's cranky about what kind of picture it works on? I used a cartoon jpg image. It only had 3 colors in it: dark blue, light blue, black outline plus a white bg.

Not it, O; just colorized my caricature. I first turned it to grayscale, and then used the interactive color option. :)

I was hoping David would see my problem and come to my rescue. Has anyone else with Linux have the same problem I do?
