GIMP Version: 2.8
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Win7
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level

List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
gmic

List any ERROR messages you received:
The program can't start because libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I am trying to install gmic. I have a 64 bit Win7 and I did download the zip 64 bit gmic file. I unzip it and try to run gimp_gmic and get the .dll error. I did uninstall and reinstall it a couple of times and still get the error.

Help. Gmic looks so awesome I want to use it.

No, I haven't. I updated gimp to 2.8 after the first error, uninstalled gmic and reinstalled it.

And the speed of dark -- speed of your thoughts.

Look in the gimp-2.8/bin folder and see if the file is there.(it should be)

Also check that you do not have 2 copies of the file as that will give the same error

search your entire Gimp 2.8 folder for libgcc_s_sjlj-1.dll,the bin folder is where it normally resides. In the 64bit gimp ignore the copy in the 32/bin folder

Also for 64bit gimp use 64bit GMIC and for 32bit gimp use 32 bit GMIC

I figured it out. I unzipped the gmic but it wasn't placing the files in the gimp plug-in folder and not seeing the required .dlls. Once I moved the files there, it picked up the missing ,dlls from Gimp and works great.
