Probably because it requires the QT Framework SDK.
I am sure someone will come along and compile it.

Tux your welcome. :tyspin

Thanks Rod!
Just a little confused about copy the binary to GIMP plugins folder. Knotter is not a GIMP plugin, right?

I'm sure today was a day of much learner's about GNU/Linux for you. You must have the mind exhausted by now. It's time to take a break! :fishing
Here I share Knotter to 64 bits for who wants it (20120819git):

Rod, I just wanted to mention that it might be confusing to include all the source and object code when only the binary (and maybe the logo.svg) is needed. When I created the launcher on my dock, I pointed to the logo.svg to use as my launcher icon.

Do you mind if I attach the file here? Some file sharing sites block certain countries and they tend not to retain files for very long.

Yes you can. Much better that way. Next time do not even ask me. Do it!
Now I have updated the code from git (git pull) and I built an updated binary (0.4.6_devel version):
http://www.fileswap.com/dl/THLukxSkuE/K ... ts.7z.html

Just as a footnote I commented that it is always better to compile and install the software ourselves in our own system or install from packages for our distro.
But sharing the binary is the best choice for a quick software testing, even more when it comes to software that is constantly developing as Knotter.

Thanks YAFU. I've added to the first post in this thread. We can split it to a new thread if necessary.
