Hello! New here.

I was hoping somebody could help me troubleshoot a font installation problem. I'm having issues getting a font installed on GIMP 2. I have the same font on GIMP 2.8 on my PC, and copied/pasted the zipped folder over to my laptop. I then proceeded to unzip it, and copied/pasted the font folder into the applicable folder in GIMP (GIMP 2> etc > fonts > conf.d) but even after closing and re-opening GIMP, it's still not there. Am I doing something wrong? I don't remember it being this complicated to install fonts in the 2.8 version. Thanks for any help!

I wonder who told you to put the fonts there?

The best place for use with Gimp is in your Gimp profile fonts folder
C:\Users\your-name\.gimp-2.8\fonts
