Yes; remember GIMP#. It was actually able to run certain Photoshop actions too. Believe later updates to GIMP2.6x killed it.

When I come up with something that requires me to create a custom scripte, I might try your python plugin Tran. I'm just that lazy to even do that. lolol

Regardless, your effort is noted. You always make awesome stuff, Tran. :)

well you can't do much with just 4 recordable sample actions right now...hence proof of concept. :hehe

Maybe not replace, but at least be more popular than it.

The main reason is because no one on a budget can afford to buy a program that can take years to master the program, and what if you give up? Like $60, wasted.

While gimp can also take a long time to master, you don't have to risk wasting money on a free program. Also, what about minors or people who can't afford ps in general?

And in a way, gimp seems more powerful than photoshop!

After my last build (well; re-build) it has., Will miss ACR, but that was the only thing I really was using PS for (to process my Raws; now I just don't; use the jpeg file to edit). I'm hoping, once GIMP starts having high bit depth ability, that it will incorporate a raw processor. Just not impressed with the Open Source raw processors out there at the moment. :)
