When using gimp with a wacom, and I click out of the canvas to switch tools or change layer, the program forgets all pressure sensitivity, anti-aliasing of the brush, and even the brush's bloody size. I can't find help for this issue anywhere, and I just want help. People use this program, right? Can ANYONE shed some light on this, or at least try to? Please?

This is my issue.

Apart from anything else, you start off with the airbrush tool, and end with the pencil tool. Pencil tool by design does not have anti-aliasing.
