Need a prompt when exporting

Is it possible to have a prompt when exporting a file to png that asks whether I'd like to remove the alpha layer?

I sometimes forget.

I have not updated to 2.10.

What is the problem with the alpha layer? if it set to 255 all over, it will be compressed to nothing.

Sorry. I used the wrong term. I sometimes add an alpha channel, and forget to remove it.

Thanks for replying. I have found a way to fix previously created images, so if I happen to forget, it's no big deal.
