Hi folks! I just downloaded the new GIMP version 2.10.24 and I when I try to use G'MIC, I experienced the same problem that Windows user did. So the error:
"The procedure entry point g_memdup2 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\GIMP2\bin\libgio-2.0-0.dll" and The procedure entry point g_memdup2 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\GIMP2\bin\libgobject-2.0-0.dll".
So I switched both old files from the old GIMP 2.10.22 that I have on my other PC with the newer files and I have it working.




This is a temporary fix until the decide to fix it on the new version.
Intruction:
1. If you still have the older version 2.10.22, go to: C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\bin and find this two files, libgio-2.0-0.dll, libgobject-2.0-0.dll.
2. Re-name them to, libgio-2.0-0.dll.old and libgobject-2.0-0.dll.old
3. Place the older files from 2.10.22 in the same folder, that is it.

I just downloaded set up 1 from the site for Windows once the problem was corrected and it works.

No issues with 2.10.24 setup 3 and G'MIC 2.9.7 - 2021.04.07.

Alrighty the... Good to hear

I downloaded GIMP 2.1024 revision 3 and I intalled the latest G'MIC update and still giving the same error as stated in the initial post. So I did replace the files with the older version and it work fine. They still need to address that error.

Also, when I try when I go to File> recent, it will pause or freeze for about 10 to 15 second then it will work right.
