Is there a difference between Edit with GIMP and Open With GIMP?

I'm just curious to know if there is a difference between Edit with GIMP and Open with GIMP, when right clicking on a photo even though both procedures do the same thing.

Difference is to 'Edit' your image would be to change (add to/take away from) your original 'Opened' image. So I guess you would have to open it first.
As far as right click menu would go I would have to say no.

No difference whatsoever, AFAIK.

I guess that makes sense even though they still do the same thing by opening up the image to gimp.
