I came across an ad today purporting to link to Gimp Forum.

I would expect Ofnuts/Rich to be across these malware links already.

I've never had an issue with reddit -mostly helpful info. Then again I use no antivirus whatsoever because apparently security is built-in to linux.

The Russian AV software that is available for windows once had a good reputation. I wonder what their reputation is like in 2022?

If you search for Gimp on Google, 1) that link isn't there anymore and 2) there are links to pages that tell that very story:

So I guess the scare is over.

Btw I hardly use Google these days, DuckDuckGo is a much better search engine, with a lot less bloat in the results, and that takes me directly to StackOverflow/Wikipedia where useful.
