 Post subject: layerfx bug in 2.8.8 ?

since i upgraded to 2.8.8. i noticed that layerfx behaves differently

when i start the python script for the Bevel & Emboss, the values for Depth, Size and Soften are blank

also i noticed that while the plug-in works, there is briefly a flash of a dialogue, i think it says something about Bump-Map Plug-in...
it wasnt like that before

it seems every layerfx plug-in that has a Size-value, has the same bug, they all appear blank until you change the value

note that i use the older layerfx.py, not layerfx2.8.py, because that one had the bug with the layergroups

confirmed on win 7 gimp 2.8.8.

i'm afraid layerfx.py will not work in 2.10 (more changes to API coming)
gimp is useless without layer effects! :gaah

but seriously, I've heard most of 3rd party C plugins will have to be ported to GEGL now,
otherwise they won't work
