Hello,

Lurking a lot of years on this forum, I thought it was time to be a active participant here. My English is not very good, please forgive me. My interests are:

Discovering image processing techniques (popular science, because I'm not that smart  ), a little bit retouching. I like to study methods to edit and restoure colors in old faded photos, because I scanned a lot of old photos.

It is funny when I restoure colors in a picture pretty well, I mostly prefere the old faded image above the new one, because I am used to the original photos. For me it is interesting what is possible and what is not possible.

Greetings to all,

iarga

Welcome.
For your old scanned photos, try using Mod_LCS tuning the parameters.

I only used Gimp for years to fix old family photos. Learned by watching online tuts and videos. Finally found this forum in which all the members seem to support each other in endeavors and learning new things. I have learned so much in a short period of time. Enjoy the group!
