Newbie with simple question

Glad to join! I am new to GIMP and downloaded/extracted/installed the latest version on a Win10 desktop. IT did not create an icon to launch and I cannot find the executable file to do so.

What am I doing wrong? :gaah

There isn't enough information to be able to give a good answer. You will need to provide some more info. You say that you downloaded the latest version. What version is that? Where did you download it from? Please give as detailed a reply as you can.

Nothing wrong really. Typical Windows click-n-wish

You should have used the 'customise' option see:

Otherwise all you need to do is make a shortcut to

C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\bin\gimp-2.8.exe
