Hello from Patrick!

Greetings!

I'm Patrick from Belgium! I'm pretty much a beginner with GIMP (despite using it on and off since 2.2 or 2.4?) but certainly excited about this great software. I'm currently discovering GIMP beyond the basics using it not only for my photos but also for experimenting with graphics in general.

I do have some 'background' in graphics and was quite involved at the time I owned an Amiga - yes I'm that old.

I'm slowly picking up the field again, also learning Blender, Inkscape, and other open source applications. My setup includes Linux (Ubuntu) and W7. I'm trying to shift completely to Linux.

Browsing the GIMP Chat forum I encountered lots of positive and helpful members. I hope that I can be part of that in the future.

tigerclaw: welcome to gimp chat! since you've already checked out the forum you probably know you're not the only one here who was around in the amiga days - actually it seems to be more rule than exception
