Well, I cannot say that I am new, but it has been awhile.

Suddenly I seem to have more free time on my hands and I hope to be seeing more of gimpchat again.

Plus, I have lots of questions, hahaha.

Nixnine

Thanks Jazzon!
It was a simple idea. The font I used is named, "That's Font Folks".

If you're using Windows you can find that Wilber image at or near, share\gimp\2.0\images of your Gimp program files.

Thanks guys, good to be back.

Got a question. I remember a script that would take, say a sprite sheet, and split it into individual layers for each image on the sheet. I cannot for the life of me remember the name. I went through my scripts folder and was trying to figure it what it was, but with 400 + scripts I am not sure. Anyone remember this script's name?

What is a "sprite sheet"?

Here's an example. I have an layer with several images that I need to separate and I remember this script did it fairly well, i just can't remember the name of it.

There is G'MIC Montage.
I frequently use, CSS WebSprites: Arrange layers and create a CSS file
Quick and easy (for spacing first increase canvas size & center): Fuse layers
I think ofnuts has a script that does that and there is another that I can't remember I'll look for both.
ofnuts: arrange-layers

If someone can change a PS script into a Gimp script ...

https://photoshopscripts.wordpress.com/ ... to-layers/

This is one strange sprite sheet.
All the ones i have seen usually are placed such that if you divide width by a constant x and divide height by a constant y you can extract the single images out.
With your sprite i can't even visuallize lines to divide them evenly.

apparently theses uneven sprite sheets exists...so how would you know how extract these images manually (in steps that could be converted to a script)?

Don't know about a script but G'MIC has a filter called Extract Objects found under Arrays and Tiles
I just tried it...not done so before. Will extract the pictures onto different layers

It just squares them tran to make them all the same which I guess is what a script would do
I have attached the extracted picture so you can see what it does.
