I'm Brian, a photographer from the faraway country of South Africa.
I've been using Gimp for some time now and do things like this ...

I made a short tutorial ( i'm not really good with that sort of thing ) which I will share here if anyone is interested

wolfworx: that photo is sooo beautiful! welcome to gimp chat, not all too many photographers here, but plenty of people who use gimp for restoring photos or doing photo manipulations of different kinds. please post your tutorial and let us see more of your work!

Thank you all for the warm welcome, to be honest the tutorial was more about the editing process in Gimp so you will probably enjoy that.

excellent photo, really outstanding!
we need among the gimp-chatters good photographers who make use of Gimp for editing their photos, we have a few here -very good but with a limited "posting activity"- , hence a big welcome!
