Hi group. I come to this forum from the old GIMP-Forum(dot)net. I am a fiber artist, and I use GIMP extensively in developing images that eventually are loaded into my electronic knitting machine for my various explorations of knitted textiles.

One of the things that I have use a lot in my work is a python plug in that Ofnuts created for me, over 10 years ago! After a couple of computer changes and obviously many GIMP versions, that is all dead in the water, and I am quite bereft.

I will be posting to the plugins topic, desparately seeking Ofnuts, or another person willing, to rewrite that code and put me back in business.

At this point in my GIMP user journey, I am more of a taker than a giver, although I do help a lot of other knitters to be able to use GIMP in their knitted creations.

TIA for the generosity of this community. I will do my best to adhere to community standards and beg forgiveness in advance if I inadvertantly transgress.

Nice knit work; nothing really can simulate the real thing. :)

Welcome to Gimp Chat imgknit :) :gimp :welcome
I was going to point you to the 'intarsia' filter in GMIC-qt but it keeps throwing errors - even in default. Hasn't been updated since 2015.
Anyway I hope you catch ofnuts - have you tried here https://www.gimp-forum.net/ ? He is one of the admins.
